2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

The 2014 Corvette Stingray marked the seventh generation (C7) and represented a complete redesign from the ground up. Chevrolet revived the iconic Stingray nameplate for the first time since the legendary 1963-1967 second-generation Corvettes. The all-new C7 combined cutting-edge technology, revolutionary design, and world-class performance with exceptional fuel efficiency. Built on an all-new aluminum frame structure, the Stingray featured a new 6.2L LT1 V-8 engine producing 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, capable of 0-60 acceleration in under 4 seconds. The car featured an all-new interior with real carbon fiber, aluminum trim, hand-wrapped leather, and dual configurable screens. Advanced technologies included the Driver Mode Selector (Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport, and Track modes), all-new direct-injection engine, Active Fuel Management, and a revolutionary seven-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching. The C7 generation continued through 2019, introducing the Grand Sport variant (2017-2019) and the high-performance Zora supercar testing platform. The Stingray's return signaled that Corvette remained a world-class performance car capable of competing with the finest sports cars on the planet.
