2010 marked the introduction of the all-new Grand Sport variant, a mid-level performance model positioned between the base Corvette and the track-focused Z06. The Grand Sport combined racing heritage with practical everyday usability, featuring the LS3 engine and unique styling including available competition yellow paint and distinctive graphics. The Grand Sport became the best-selling Corvette variant that year, accounting for 6,042 units of the 12,194 total production. The ZR1 continued as the ultimate performance flagship with its 638 hp supercharged LS9 engine, while the base LS3 Corvette and track-focused Z06 with its naturally aspirated LS7 rounded out the lineup. Interior refinements included new leather options and updated technology features. The 2010 model year marked the beginning of Corvette's continued evolution as it headed toward the end of the C6 generation.
