The 1991 Chevrolet Corvette
1991 Corvettes got the rear end look from the 1990 ZR-1 including the rectangular
tail lights. A new front end as well including wrap around parking lights, new side
panel vents and body color side moldings. The base wheels were changed to a new
saw-blade design. The new RPO Z07 included the Z51 suspension components and the
FX3 adjustable ride options, this provided an in-cockpit adjustable ride from stiff
to very stiff. A power wire was added for accessories like cell-phones and a float
based oil pressure monitor. A new power-delay feature allowed the windows and radio
to work for a time after the ignition key was removed.

The "Vehicle Identification Number" (also VIN or serial number) is stamped on a plate on the inner vertical surface of the left windshield pillar visible through the windshield.

Engine Serial Number Decoder
1991 Corvette engines have the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the block after the engine number. The date code the engine was manufactured was also cast into the block. The engine serial number includes a production sequence number starting with 0001001 and one of the suffixes below.
