The 1954 Chevrolet Corvette
The 1954 Chevrolet Corvette saw production moved to a renovated plant in St. Louis,
MO. Production was up to 3,640 cars this year but unfortunately a large amount of these remained
unsold at the end of the year. The lack of an engine with decent horsepower, the
marginal handling and the competition from American as well as European sports cars
took its toll. There were more color options this year although the RPO options
were not actually optional.
